Mission Statement for Brookwood High School Counseling Department
OFFICE OF STUDENT SUCCESS
The mission of the Brookwood High School Counseling Department is to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program which enables all students to pursue knowledge and to improve critical thinking skills needed to become productive citizens and lifelong learners.
- The Counseling Office is open to students and parents from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The office will close at 3:00 pm on Fridays.
- Students and parents may make appointments with their counselor for academic and/or personal counseling. Please call 770-978-5060 to schedule an appointment.
- Students are not counted absent from class but must have a pass from their classroom teacher.
The counseling department provides many services and programs for students, parents, and faculty to assist in achieving academic success and in exploring options for the future. Counselors are assigned to students according to their last name and/or by grade level. They work with students individually, in small groups, and in classroom guidance. Informational night meetings are provided for parents throughtout the year.
