The Brookwood High School PTSA is one of the largest and most pro-active chapters in the state. This is due entirely to your generous donations and the tireless efforts of many volunteers who sacrifice time and talents to the PTSA mission. Students and teachers alike benefit from the efforts of the committee members and many others that work behind the scenes every day. The PTSA appreciates your financial and moral support. Please continue to support your students and staff by giving some time to help on one of the committees.
MISSION
The mission of the PTSA is to support and speak on behalf of children and youth; assist parents in developing skills to raise and protect their children; and encourage parent and public involvement in the schools of this nation.
We are excited about the coming year for Brookwood High School and the roles your PTSA Board of Directors and volunteers will serve in bringing programs that engage students, parents and staff together to continue to build and honor our community working for all children...everychild.onevoice. Our PTSA has a history of initiating programs of relevancy for our students, parents, and community as a whole, and our goal is to continue this tradition by providing opportunities that keep our community as a leader in excellence. BHS PTSA supports the National and State standards for PTAs, which are:
- Open communication between home and school
- School respect and support of parent’s role in their student’s lives
- Parents being connected with their child’s learning
- Parent volunteers being welcomed at the school
- Parent involvement in school decisions affecting their children
- Community involvement in the education process
Parental involvement in children's lives has proven to be a major influence in students' academic and social success. We welcome your involvement in Brookwood High School's PTSA.
