The Brookwood Science Team is divided into 2 smaller clubs: Science Olympiad and Science Bowl.
Science Olympiad is a 23 event competition that includes events in areas of construction, physics, chemistry, forensics, earth science, rocketry, etc. The Science Olympiad Club prepares for this competition by learning content, designing, engineering, and constructing. Science Olympiad is sponsored by Joe Cox and Jorge Diaz.
Our mission is to prepare students to compete in invitational, regional, state and national Science Olympiad Competitions while exploring the various fields of science. We plan to compete in invitational, regional, state and national Science Olympiad competitions. Brookwood Science Olympiad is a member of the Georgia Science Olympiad and National Science Olympiad organizations.
Science Bowl is game-show type competition with science and math related questions. This club meets weekly to learn content and participate in simulated games in preparation for several tournaments throughout the year. Science Bowl is sponsored by Ms. Hamman.
