The purpose of BHS^2 (Brookwood High School Black History Significance) is to broaden all students’ knowledge of Black history contributors, past and present, beyond that expressed in textbooks while also advocating for the celebration of all cultures. BHS^2 also aims to provide further guidance in ethical decision making inside and outside the classroom.

Time requirements for student members:
1 meeting a month plus special events (approx. 20 hours over the school year)

Criteria for Receiving a Senior Graduation Cord:

• At least 10 hours of community service
  
• Minimum GPA of 2.5
• Attend at least 7 meetings
