* If you are participating in a winter sport here at Brookwood you may not tryout for Baseball until that season is over.
* Playing Baseball at Brookwood High School is a demanding activity that requires a tremendous amount of time. Before trying out please be sure you are prepared to put in the time that this sport requires. We will practice on Saturdays throughout the year and have games and practices over Spring Break. There will be some time off for JV and 9th grade over Spring Break, but only a minimum number of days.
*Examples of some of the demands for Brookwood Baseball
- you are expected to participate 100% in fund raising activities.
- you are expected to be a productive member of our Baseball program.
*When we begin in February we should be able to go 100%. Make sure that you are prepared for a demanding practice on the first day. Three weeks to get prepared for a demanding schedule is a short time. We as coaches expect to compete for the State Title every year.
*In addition to the demanding schedule, there are also behavior expectations of baseball players here at Brookwood.
*There are not a set number of players we will keep. The number of players will be based on need and ability. The best players (determined by the coaching staff) will be kept regardless of position.
*I would encourage you to not buy spikes until after cuts have been made. We will all wear the same type of shoe and they will be purchased after cuts have been made.
