Brookwood's 2008 SAT scores have arrived. Once again Brookwood leads Gwinnett County with a total score of 1638 – up 9 points from last year! The break down is as follows: Critical Reading 543; Math 559; Writing 536.
Brookwood's PTSA is sponsoring “Heart Screens for Teens", a service that utilizes Ultra Scan’s mobile imaging labs and Georgia Pediatric Cardiology’s Board Certified Physicians to provide affordable echocardiogram examinations for athletes/students from 10-20 years of age. The echocardiogram (ultrasound procedure) takes about 8 minutes and determines whether or not the athlete/student has a condition known as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), a cause of sudden cardiac arrest in otherwise healthy young athletes/students.

After-School Study Hall for Students
Last Changed 2005-11-22
In an effort to support parents and students, Brookwood is again instituting the after-school study hall program that has been in place in past years. Students who must remain on campus beyond 3:00, but are not with a teacher, are required to attend study hall. This study hall will last until 4:30. We ask parents to use the horseshoe in the front as a pick-up point. If the parent knows ahead of time the exact time of arrival, a note specifying the pick-up time may be given to the student. The study hall teacher will send the student to the horseshoe at the requested time. Otherwise, parents who arrive before 4:30 will have to come into the Commons area to let their student know they are here. We believe this will enable students to make good use of their time and help parents by ensuring that their child has a supervised place to wait.
