National Art Honor Society

This program exists to inspire and nationally recognize those students who have shown an outstanding ability in their high school art classes.  Members help mentor the Art club and design and implement community service oriented art projects.

Open to 10th - 12th grade art students who have a "B" or better average in their high school art classes.  Students become members by paying online at   Dues are $20.00 per year.  NAHS meets twice monthly, 2:20 - 3:30 p.m. in B17. The time commitment is 2 hours per month, August - May.

Teacher Club Sponsors are Mrs. Crews, Ms. Debban, and Mr. Vigardt.

Art Club/ NAHS Chalk Art tutorial and competition 

Learn how to create large outdoor works of art made from chalk. Compete with your friends to make the best masterpiece.

Join us in creating stain glass window art out of paper covers and sharpies.

NAHS only Henna meeting

Join us to learn how to create beautiful henna designs! Henna is an ancient form of body art, originating in India and across South Asia and the Middle East.

Art Club/ NAHS Make Ceramic Bowls for Empty Bowls Project (optional)

Make beautiful hand crafted bowls out of that will be sold to raise money for local food banks at our Empty Bowls Fundraiser in December.

Learn from a visiting artist how she does special fx make up. Try out your skills in this hands on workshop.

Join us for this fun workshop to learn how to create personalized buttons using your own designs.

Art Club/ NAHS Edible Art Contest 

At home, create  a work of art ONLY out of food. Bring your delicious artistic creation to the meeting for your chance to win prizes!

Empty Bowls Dinner

Join the Brookwood community for an Empty Bowls Soup Dinner that benefits our local food banks. For $10, guests will receive a beautiful handmade bowl and a soup dinner. Invite your friends and family to join us at this event!



NAHS Seniors working toward honors cords MUST attend AND participate in EVERY Art Club activity and meeting. Seniors must attend a total of 14 Meetings and work 6 Service Hours with an art teacher to earn your Honor Cord BEFORE receiving your cord on April 27. Seniors must pay $12 for honor cords by January 10th (No Refunds).
