National English Honor Society

The mission and the purpose of the organization is to confer distinction upon students for high achievement in English language and literature courses, to encourage interest in the English language arts, to promote exemplary character, and to serve society by fostering literacy.

NEHS is open to juniors and seniors with a minimum grade point average of a 3.0 in English-related courses. 
Students must attend announced meetings (at least 2 a semester)
Students must participate in the Laws of Life Scholarship Essay Contest, contribute to the NEHS sponsored book drive, and complete 5 book reviews.

Students must read 5 additional novels that are not a part of their coursework and write a 150 word review of each book.
