Lauren Harrison

My name is Lauren Harrison and I am a faculty member in the Language Arts department here at Brookwood. Currently, I teach Honors World Literature (10th grade) and American Literature (11th grade). In the past few years, I have taught both 9th grade literature at Archer High School as well as middle school ESOL at East Cobb Middle School.

I am the assistant girls cross country and distance track coach. I have also coached both the Varsity Football cheerleading and JV Basketball cheerleading squads in the past two years.

I am a proud Brookwood alumni and am honored to work among those who were previously my teachers! After graduating from Berry College with a degree in English and Secondary Education, I am still in awe that I get to work with such amazing teachers and students every day. Brookwood is a special place and I'm so glad to be here-- I'm glad you're here as well!

As an educator...

+ I strive to daily meet my students where they are and bring them to higher levels of achievement through literacy interaction, innovative teaching strategies, and a positive classroom environment.

+ I want to inspire light and creativity by engaging students in literacy skills.

+ I want each student to understand they have a story to tell.
