I am a product of Gwinnett County Public Schools, having attended R.D. Head Elementary, Five Forks Middle School, and Brookwood High! I attended the University of Georgia where I double majored as an undergraduate in Spanish and French Education, and also participated in a study abroad in Tours, France at the Institut de Touraine. I then earned a Master of Education in Foreign Language during my first two years of teaching while commuting back and forth between Athens and Snellville...I'm glad I was young! I began my teaching career at Brookwood in 1996 and have taught Spanish I, II, III, IV, V and AP, as well as Spanish for Native Speakers and French I, II, and III.
Spanish is my native language, as both my father and mother are Cuban, so I grew up speaking Spanish at home. My hope is that I can help you to become more comfortable using Spanish so that you may one day be able to use it as a vessel of communication!
I am married and have two children who keep me very busy, and am proud to be a BRONCO!!!
